Shame on you

We let our guards down, become complacent, start acting stupid and the "stinkin thinking"
sets in. After i had let my salesreps fall into this, i blamed it on routine even though most of us were doing well, i needed a quick fix because negativity is deadly.Prisoners of war reported
much more suffering and death when this went unchecked as opposed to those who sought to implement the positive. Anyway i shared with them a story i had recently read. It was about this
door to door rep. he was definitely dealt bad cards at birth, he had many ailments. It took him
2 hrs to get out of bed and dress and eat. Since he could not drive he had to take the bus and where for us to walk 6 blocks would not be unusual, for him it was excrutiating pain and sweat.
I can barely convey to you how sad this story was, but he managed to sell his wares anyway-
not a lot, he didnt make a great income to say the least, and the part that got my attention
was that it took him 5 min . to walk up a driveway just to have the tenant pretend they werent home. I guess that sympathy is low for ANY salesperson, no matter their physical impediments.
On top of this the guy was cranky and rude and most customers didnt like him but under the circumstances they understood. Arriving home he couldnt even take his tie off he was so tired of the physical pain, and he would lay prostate for hours before he could summon the strength to
undress and eat. I think at this point you get the picture.

So here we are-no ailments, nice car that valets park for you after a nice scenic drive to the beach resort where we work and have an unlimited 5 star buffet for free then we tell lies to each other for an hour, then our pre set appointments arrive half sold already- we now have another 5 star free lunch with them and make the sale providing we are not hung-over from last nights
extravaganza, then we pick up our daily cash bonus and proceed to spend it in areas with no social reedeming qualities-------and we are complaining??? shame on you, you should feel guilty
and bless the lord for what you have. It worked, the crew was silent, staring at each other because the truth hurts. But we were back at it soon enough--because of habit--and we will share on another page something about habit.
