sales and customer service

aristotle- a great thinker and debater, came up with this one.

The fogging technique--
A disgruntled client or angry person in your face who you wish to pacify and dismiss.

Imagine shooting arrows at a target, your shots are getting closer and closer. A fog suddenly descends and covers the area, unless you hear a scream, you tire at shooting at something you cant see, and are soon running out of arrows as well.

In the fogging technique, you remove yourself as a target (this doesnt work if you sold a car without an engine and the buyer catches you) by asking the following questions-
why are you upset?
why do you feel this way?
why do you think this happened?
what would you do?
do you think i can help? and so on..

in this fashion the person will stop attacking you and see you in a different light- not as a target.

The feel felt found method
I know how you feel...many clients felt this way...what they found out though......(insert here your solution or idea)
